Scór
Well done to our Irish & Cultural Officer Diarmuid O Dálaigh who made sure we were well represented at the Scór Sinsir competition last Sunday evening in Lisgoold. Diarmuid represented us in Recitation, Charlie Mc Allister in the Solo singing and in the Table quiz John Ferriter, Steve Sheehan, Pat Fitzgerald & Diarmuid.
Cumann Lúthchleas Gael has a significant role to play in promoting our culture in an
increasingly diverse Ireland and it is important that we take that responsibility serious as possible. Scór is vital part of CLCG. So don’t drop the ball – it’s greasy at the moment. Lets work together to promote our culture and tradition which has
such a great capacity to link the past and present while building the future especially in this important year 2016.
Tá súil agam go mbeadh alán daoine páirteach i Scór sna blianta romhainn. beaga i deanta a chéile. Go raibh maith agaibh go léir.

Coaching Corner
Check out the new addition to our website, on the top right hand corner of the site is “Coaching Corner”. This includes the Player Pathway guide and Coaching Resources.
The player pathway is a guide to mentors, players and parents as to what they should be doing as the boys progress through each age group in their playing career in Midleton GAA club. Its purpose is to aid and assist all concerned to maximise enjoyment and participation, with player welfare at the core of the plan. We hope this will provide assistance in ensuring the development of all players to reach their full potential, from their first introduction to Gaelic games at nursery level, up to the adult teams and beyond. As Gaelic Games is not an international sport the ideas contained in the plan are in keeping with best practice and in line with the GAA’ s Total Performance Model. Many thanks to both our Juvenile PRO Ruth Walsh and Club IT Officer Shane Goulding for setting this up.
