Juvenile

Red Cross Certified Course
On Wednesday Evening Ber Cotter, Health & Social Care Officer in Midleton/Carrigtwohil Red Cross provided a fully qualified First Aid Training Course along with her colleagues Cath de Landre and Mick Bolger. In attendance were members from the Juvenile and Senior Club and Ladies Football Club. The fully certified course covered Adult and Junior CPR, how to recognise the signs of a Stroke and also how to use and operate an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) Unit. Midleton GAA Club is extremely fortunate to have a Defibrillator Unit located on the Club grounds in the event of an emergency. Each participant of the course was guided through the techniques of CPR and also had the chance to practice the skills they learned on Adult, junior and baby mannequins. They were also given the chance to practice the operational use of training AED units.  The Club would like to thank Ber most sincerely for providing such an extremely important course to our coaches and players. The feedback from the participants who attended the course was overwhelmingly positive and all were delighted to have had the opportunity to learn from Ber and her colleagues.
Course Participants: Liam Walsh, Michael O’ Connell, Aidan, Moloney, Deirdre Kenny, Mark Savage, Ingrid Connoughton, Tracy Saunderson, Ray Fitzgerald, Amy Quirke, Caoimhe Morrison, Steve Kane and Paul Britton.
