Inter County Hurling
The Cork senior hurlers had a fine win over Limerick at the Gaelic grounds last Sunday afternoon by 7-22 to 1-19 in the Co-Op Superstores Munster Hurling League.
Pat Hartnett represented us as a selector, due to squad rotation and injury we had no players involved.
Colleges Hurling
Last Wednesday many of our Club players played with their respective schools in the Harty Cup Munster Colleges hurling quarter finals.
At Bansha Midleton CBS played out a thriller of a game when after extra time they finished deadlocked with Ard Scoil Rís on a scoreline 2-12 to 1-15. Adam Daly, Sean O’Leary Hayes and Ryan Mc Conville were outstanding at the back, Sean O’Meara (capt) and substitute Padraig O’Brien played their part up front.
The replay is due to be played on Thursday next 19th in Bansha once again.
At Church Rd Blackrock the derby game between CBC and St Colman’s took place with the latter taking the honours by 3-12 to 1-12, Eoin Moloney was at centre back and late on scored a goal, Shane Finn was at mid field and Tommy O’Connell was unerring with the frees from corner forward scoring five points.
The Club executive would like to wish Principal of Midleton CBS Pat Hurley the very best on his retirement very soon, he was a great supporter of our Club and very accommodating to all our teams down through the years.
