Fe14
Earlier this morning in Blarney, we defeated a fancied Duhallow side in the replay of the drawn Rebel Og semi Final of the Fe14 P1 Hurling League on a scoreline of 2-12 to 1-8. This was an eagerly contested game between two strong teams. Having lost the County Championship final to Duhallow, we certainly wanted to prove a point. This we achieved. We opened the scoring with a point from play. Before long though Duhallow had replied with 4 unanswered points. Midleton though were playing great ball into the inside forwards and this resulted in Midleton scoring 1-7 leading up to HT leaving the score at Midleton 1-8 Duhallow 0-4.
Duhallow were dominant in the third quarter and had the score back to 1-8 to 1-7 before Midleton had our first score of the second half. Midleton gradually assumed command again and tacked on a few points. Duhallow tried gallantly to score the goal they badly needed, but the Midleton rearguard were excellent. With Duhallow piling forward, they were exposed at the back and Midleton pounced for a great goal with 5 minutes to go. We now meet Sars in the League Final which is likely to be played within the next week. Our Team was represented by: Ryan O Riordan, Cian Crowley, Christian Murphy, Sean O Sullivan, Alan Power, Mark Daly, Cormac O Brien, Fergus Wade, Ciaran Evans, Kian Farmer, Tommy O Connell, Gary Carroll, Coleman Quinn, Griffin Hurley, Cian Murray, Aaron Mulcahy, Evan Rowlands, Adam O Connell, Ronan Lynch, Jake Shanahan, Ross O Regan, Sam Quirke, David Scanlon, Scott Wolohan, Craig Barry

All Ireland Post Primary Final
Last Saturday afternoon in the fantastic setting of the Waterford IT sports complex Midleton CBS were very unfortunate to lose out to Good Counsel New Ross in the Niall Mc Inerney Fe 16 ½” hurling final. The game was very even throughout but when Midleton took the lead for the first time in the dying minutes it looked like they had one hand on the Cup but two magnificent points from Good Counsel drew the game level at 0-15 points a piece. Unfortuantely there was only one team in it in extra time and that was Good Counsel who scored seven unanswered point to deservedly win by 0-15 v 0-22. Hard luck to selector Alywin Kearney and our club players Sean O Leary Hayes, Adam Daly, Ryan Mc Conville, Sean O Meara, Christopher Power, Padraig O Brien, Sean O Sullivan, John O Dwyer and Cathal Gunning.
