Thanks to Killeagh GAA club and their hospitality which included the much appreciated crisps and drinks after the games for all involved. Thank you to all the parents and families for their support and having the boys at the venue 30 minutes before the games. We look forward to seeing all the boys next Saturday at 12 noon in the club for training.
It's a football morning next week and newcomers always welcome.

Fe12
Our Fe12 hurlers were in action over the last two weekends in the Tommy Finn Hurling Tournament in Clonea Power Gaa club in Waterford.
This was a very well organised tournament and great credit has to go to the home club Clonea for organising this, Coffee, Tea, Biscuits, Scones and Sandwiches were in plentiful supply for everyone young and old over the course of the last two weekends.
Four groups of four, 15 Mins a side with top two qualifying for quarter finals the following weekend. Teams from all over Kilkenny, Wexford, Tipp, Waterford and Cork all well represented.
Our group consisted of Freshford, Carrig Swans  & De La Salle.
In all three group games we witnessed some outstanding hurling from our lads running out comfortable winners in these games topping the group and looking forward to the following weekend.
In the quarter final we faced Cahir and from the throw in we were well on top running out winners on a scoreline 4-7 to 0-4.
Next up was the semi final v St Martins from Wexford. A team we knew well having played them last year, one felt we had to be at our strongest if we were going to go on and contest the Final.
Ball in and game on, from the start we were under pressure with Martins running at our defence playing a fantastic style of hurling taking some great scores in the process, we settled into the game and with some great TEAM work Blocking, Hooking and general will to win we started to win the midfield battle with  Leo Hennessy and Ryan Cahill  delivering fast ball in to the forwards  we had Paul Connaughton tormenting the Martins defence scoring a fantastic goal and point and bringing out the best in Martins keeper every time he got on the ball, Alex Quirke pointing three from long range frees and Patrick Kane as always solid as a rock in defence we went in at half time a point down 1-5 to 1-4, game on.
From the throw in we had the ball in the Martins net again long ball in from Conor Fitz, Paul turning his man and hitting an unstoppable shot to the corner of the Martins net, we took the lead for the first time, the next five min’s was end to end stuff,  points from both sides every player giving their all, moans and groans from both sides good honest hard hurling from both sides a credit to all, then the deciding moment, ball plucked out of the air from Martins midfielder delivered in again plucked from the sky, bang  goal, Martins a point to the good with Four min’s remaining, try as we did we couldn’t get the ball off  back and conceding two late converted frees this was to be the end of our Tournament losing out on a score line of St Martins 2-9 - Mid 2-6, but what a game.
Finally a big thank you to all the players and parents for attending this Tournament ensuring we are competitive at all times. Again we would like to thank all at Clonea Power Gaa for their invitation to this Tournament and for the hospitality shown to all
Reminder Please text ASAP if your son not attending games.
