Juvenile Notes

Fe14
Our Fe14 Footballers had their first outing in the Premier 2 Football League at Ballyanly, Inniscarra on Saturday last. The game was played in miserable, cold, wet and windy conditions with Inniscarra winning out on a scoreline of 3-6 to 2-5.
Midleton opened brightly and playing against the wind, had 2 points on the scoreboard before Inniscarra opened their account with a point. They got a grip on proceedings at this stage and had 2-6 on the scoreboard by Half Time to Midleton's 0-2. Midleton piled on the pressure in the second half and had scored 1-3 in the first 20 minutes of the second half. Then in a rare attack they scored a goal against the run of play. Midleton fought manfully to the end and managed another goal with 5 minutes to go. However even though we "peppered" the Inniscarra goal in the final minutes, we failed to get the extra scores to win the game. Team: Ross Shanahan, Fergus Wade, Sean O Sullivan, Cormac O Brien, Mark Daly, Ross O Regan, Cian Murray, Kian Farmer, Adam O Connell, Tommy O Connell, Ronan Lynch, Coleman Quinn, Ryan O Riordan, Craig Barry, Eabhan DeBarra, David Scanlon & Gary Carroll
