Midleton Hurling and Football, Ladies Football and Camogie Club Notes - February, 1

01 February, 2024

KACPER KOZLOWSKI

A dark cloud descended over Midleton GAA Club and the town of Midleton on Saturday when we heard the news of the death of our juvenile player and friend Kacper Kozlowski. He played hurling and football with us for many years but in recent years he has fought an unbelievable battle against ill health, which he did with huge bravery and dignity.

Kacper was GAA mad and the family were very keen to have a GAA funeral. A big well done to Kacper's U-16 coaches and team-mates who were outstanding to Kacper during his illness and once again at the weekend and especially at his funeral on Monday where they gave him a brilliant send off. Thanks also to club chairman, John Fenton, who spoke so excellently about Kacper from the altar in Holy Rosary church.

We would like to extend our deepest condolences to Kacper's parents Marcin and Alexsandra, his sister Zofia and all his family and friends.

Gone but not forgotten - Once a Magpie, always a Magpie!

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

All members are asked to respect referees and their officials at all times.
