Midleton Hurling and Football, Ladies Football and Camogie Club Notes - November 30

30 November, 2023

AGM

Final reminder of our One Club AGM, tonight (Thursday, November 30) at 8pm. All members more than welcome....

WELL DONE JACK

Well done to our own Jack McKay who was elected PRO of the East Cork Board this week. Best of luck in the rold Jack.

UNDER 21 A HURLING

Our U-21 A hurlers drew with Carrigtwohill under lights in Carrigtwohill on Friday night on a final scoreline of 0-20 to 1-17. They will now play Bride Rovers in the semi-final on Saturday week, December 9 at 12pm. Venue to be confirmed.

UNDER 21 C HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP

Our U-21 C hurling team took on Carrignavar at Clonmult Memorial Park on Sunday morning in the East Cork Championship.

This was a very good game and in the end we very unlucky to lose out by eight points after a very competitive game. With three minutes to play we were within four points and chasing a goal to get us back into the game but Carrignavar finished strongly with a goal and a point to our point to run out 3-12 to 1-10 winners.

Fair play lads though who put up a great show against a strong first team of Carrignavar.

MIDLETON: Zach Smith, Colin Sunderland, Fionn Kelly, Jack McKay, Tomas Dunlea, Darragh Codd, Luke Dean (Captain), Niall Lang, Eoghan Fraser, James McSweeney, Ben O'Neill, Ben Kenneally, Darragh Egan, Nicky Daly, Daniel Garde. Subs used: Adam O'Connor, Conor Morley, Odhran Rabbite, Liam Kelly and Odhran Dennigan.

JUVENILES

FÉ9S

We had our last training session of the year on the Wednesday night. A big thank you to Midleton senior player Mikey Finn who did some drills with the lads and had some words of wisdom for them. Also to Coach Chris for arranging a selection box and a water bottle for each of our players. We will take a well deserved break now and would like to wish everyone in the club a Happy Christmas.
