SEAN KEOHANE MEMORIAL LONG PUC

The Sean Keohane Memorial Long Puc took place on St. Stephen's Day and forty years on since the first running of the Midleton GAA Long Puc (the first in Ireland) it was a super success with a huge crowd turning out to compete.

The winners on the day (retaining their title) were Padraig O'Keeffe, Tommy O'Connell and Cathal Gunning and they are pictured above receiving their trophy from Kevin Hennessy and Kieran Keohane.

Over €1000 was raised for the Mercy Hospital Foundation on the day.

BIG WIN FOR PAT

A massive congratulations to Midleton GAA senior selector Pat Walsh this week won the top prize in the Russell Rovers GAA Sports Pass competition. His prize was a choice of a trip to eight of the biggest global sporting events in 2023. Amazingly he turned down a trip to Croke Park for the All-Ireland Final to instead head for the Masters in Augusta, Georgia in April. Enjoy Pat.

We think this figure is very attainable but we need everyone's help. The prizes are fantastic so we would appeal to everybody to reach out to family members, neighbours, work-mates to support this vital fundraiser for our club.
