TOMMY WALLIS

A big thank you to County Senior Championship winning goalkeeper with Midleton, Tommy Wallis who gave an excellent training session to three of our up and coming juvenile goalkeepers, Will Stokes U-12,  Naoise O Dalaigh U-11 and Brainnin O Dalaigh U-13 at Park South. INTERMEDIATES

On a balmy Sunday morning last in Clonmult Memorial Park we welcomed the Shamrocks from Knockanore in County Waterford to play our intermediate team for the Mick ‘Bonzo’ Tobin Memorial Cup.

Despite the sweltering conditions both teams produced an excellent hour’s hurling and in the in the end it was our Déise visitors who came out on top of a high scoring clash on a final scoreline of 3-26 to 3-18.

It was a lovely occasion to remember our great friend and clubman and Knockanore native, Mick ‘Bonzo’ Tobin. Thanks to Dave Tobin for presenting the cup and to the large number of Tobins who travelled to East Cork for the game. To Shamrocks for a good sporting game and to Pat O’Brien and all who supplied refreshments for our grateful visitors.

Pictured above is Dave Tobin presenting the cup to Shane and Colme Roche and below the rest of the Tobins making the presentation.

We wish the Shamrocks all the best in their upcoming championship.
