East Cork Junior C Championship Round 3

Midleton 2-18 Erin's Own 1-20

On Saturday 06th November we hosted Erin's Own in our final group game of the championship. Minus several of our regular starters we none the less took the game to Erin's Own and played some lovely hurling. A fortuitous goal just before halftime from Peter Dowling was just the tonic giving us a two-point lead on the changeover. The introduction of the ever-youthful Davy O'Brien added extra experience to our forward line and aided by the sharp shooting of Mark O'Keeffe we continued to stay right with Erin's Own in a nip and tuck affair. In the end we justly deserved our one-point victory and now march on to the East Cork semi-final. Well done to Neil Fitzgerald and Evan Kelly who have now played championship hurling for the adult side of the club.

Team: Keith Ryan, Daniel Wathen, Neil Fitzgerald, Ryan Cahill, Liam Kelly, Peter Dowling (Captain), Conor Evans, Evan Kelly, Mark O'Keeffe, Paul Ahern, Colin Dowling, Declan McInerney, Declan Connolly, Andrew Rea and Coleman Quinn. Substitute: Davy O'Brien and Jerome Curtin.

Fé9 V Carrigtwohill

We hosted Carrigtwohill in Hurling on Saturday last. We had 30 players in attendance for this which was broken into 3 teams of 10 each. Our lads fought hard in this encounter and got some good scores throughout each of the games. We would like to thank Carrigtwohill GAA for making the short trip to us and giving us a good game in where the two sides were very even. We also would like to thank all our Coaches and Parents for their great Support.
