Fé 7 Notes
It has been a hectic last two weeks for the Fé 7 panel. On the 21/8 we travelled to St Catherine’s for a wonderful morning’s hurling. This was followed by a football blitz on the 28/8 against Carrigtwohill, all our players performed to their best and enjoyed both days. The U7 players and management would like to extend their congratulations to Sam Quirke, David Cremin and Mikey Finn on their recent All Ireland wins and also commiserations to Sean O’Leary-Hayes.

Fé 9 Football Blitz

Our lads travelled to Ballynoe on Saturday for a Football Blitz organised by St Catherine's GAA. We took 27 players with us and we had 3 teams of 9 playing in this Football Blitz. The 3 clubs we were up against were St Colman’s, Killeagh and St Catherine's. The lads were excellent in all the games they played, getting great points and goals throughout all the games. Overall, we are very happy with this group as the lads are improving week by week. Thanks again to all the parents for making the trip to Ballynoe and we would like to thank St Catherine's for organising this Blitz.

We will continue with Training midweek and on Saturday again.

Camogie Notes

Fe6 Notes

On Friday night 3rd September our U6s had a visit from our Junior and Cork player Lucy Wallace who came to talk to the girls about her Camogie career so far. Lucy started out with the Cork u16 team where she played centre back for them. Subsequently, she played with the Cork minor team, winning two all Ireland’s and a Munster. More recently, she has been playing with the Cork junior team for two years and has won a Munster medal playing mid field. Lucy also played with St Mary’s High School and during this time she's won two All Ireland medals, one junior and one senior playing centre back.

The girls had so much fun training with Lucy tonight and it's so important for our mini magpies to know that some day they too can play for Cork and win All Irelands!!! Up the magpies.!!! Thanks Lucy for giving up your time to spend it with the girls .

Fe11 V Youghal

Our U11 camogie team played Youghal at home on Sunday morning last in a friendly game. The game was played in beautiful sunny conditions. The players gave it their all, with plenty of skill on display and a solid team performance. Well done to all the players and coaches and a big thanks to the referee and to Youghal Camogie for travelling up to play us.

Fe11 V Youghal

FE11 V St Catherines

Our second match of the week for our u11 girls was on Saturday 4th September where we travelled to Ballynoe to play a friendly game against St. Catherine's. We brought our Young Magpies made up of a combination of u11s and u10s and they got ‘stuck-in’ from start to finish. There were some lovely passages of play and also some great defending. It was a tough game against strong opposition. The Players are showing great signs of improvement and these games will only help them more. Thanks to St. Catherine's for hosting us and thanks again to all the players, coaches and parents for their commitment

We finished off the week with our second match where we played our last group game away to Aghabullogue on Saturday afternoon 4th September . Unfortunately despite the girls best efforts It  just wasn’t our day  even with  the girls giving it their all ,they should be very proud of themselves for coming so far in the competition . We finish the group in second place and progress to a county semi final in two weeks time . Well done girls! Congratulations to Eabha Kelleher who showed great leadership, captaining her team on the day.

FÉ13 V Douglas

We played Douglas in an U13 Challenge Match on Sunday 29th August.

Douglas dominated early in the first quarter of the game putting our defence under pressure. Lead by their Captain on the night Ciara Mc Grath, Midleton found their momentum and finished the first half leading by 3 points. A great team performance by Midleton helped the girls secure a well-deserved win. Well done girls on a super team effort.
