Midleton Hurling and Football, Ladies Football and Camogie Club Notes - May 23

23 May, 2024

IN THE RED OF CORK

It was a great weekend for Cork hurling.

On Friday night our U-20 hurlers went to Ennis and carved out a great win in their Muster Championship semi-final meeeting with Clare. That has set them up with a Munster Final clash with Tipperary in Limerick on this Friday night (May 24) at 8pm. If you can't make it to the Gaelic Grounds the game is live on TG4. The very best of luck to Mikey Finn, David Cremin, Terence McCarthy and all the Cork players and management team.

Then on Sunday the Cork senior hurlers (backed by a massive Cork crowd) travelled to Thurles to take on Tipperary in a must win game and they came away with an excellent 19 point win. Well done to Conor, Tommy, Brion and all the Cork players and management on a great win. Now they must wait to see the outcomes of Sunday's games between Waterford and Limerick and Tipperary and Clare to see if they will progress to the All-Ireland series. Fingers crossed.
