Fe14
Our Fe14 footballers players their second Premier 2 League game in a cold, wet & windswept Mallow on Saturday morning. Short on numbers, we etched out a good away win on a final scoreline of Mallow 2-07 Midleton 4-06. Although the weather conditions meant that this game proved to be a game of 2 halves, some very good team play & scoring resulted in us picking up the points.
Playing with the aid of the 1st half conditions, we led 2-04 to 0-02 at half-time. The expected Mallow onslaught followed, yet some very important scores against the wind ensured that we would not be caught, despite the efforts of a gallant Mallow side. All-in-all, this proved a very worthwhile outing, with our players on display acquitting themselves very well. Midleton were represented on the day by the following players; Leo Hennessey, Tim O'Sullivan, Rory Donegan, Aaron Mulcahy, Patrick Kane, Dan O'Sullivan, Paul Connaughton, David Scanlon, Cian Crowley, Gary Carroll, Frank O'Brien, Shane Connor, Samuel Quirke, Christian Murphy, Eabhan deBarra, Conor Fitzgerald, Ethan Daly, James Gillespie, Adam Meade.
