Midleton started the game well and applied a lot of early pressure to take an 1-1 to 0-0 lead in the early exchanges, however Cloughduv well very economical with their possession and scored a goal on their first attack.
Midleton continued to dominate and started to take some fine scores and finished the half 3-3 to 2-1.
At the restart, Cloughduv came out and took advantage of a slight wind to pile on the scores to take a 3-4 to 3-3 lead. However the Midleton girls showed great heart to sore 3 unanswered points to give themselves a 2 point lead going into the last 10 minutes of the match.
Cloughduv then scored a controversial late goal to lead by the minimum and despite applying some late pressure Midleton were unable to find the equalizer. Final score line was 4-4 to 3-6 to Cloughduv.
