Minor Camogie League County Final Result:
Midleton 3-10
Grenagh 4-7
After a Titanic hour of Camogie and in front of a large attendance, Midleton will need to do it all again if we are to win our first County Camogie Title at Minor Grade. Playing with a strong wind in the first half Midleton led 2-6 to 1-3 at the break. We held the lead all the way until the 2ndminute of Injury time when after a goal mouth scramble Grenagh bundled home the equalizing score. It was a tough finish for our girls but they all showed tremendous skill and great heart and determination, especially in the 2nd half when playing against the strong breeze. Great performances all round, especially by Yvonne Abernethy and Clara McCarthy in the backline, Lucy Wallis and Jodie Keegan O Connell around the middle of the field and goal scorers Sadhbh Beausang and Orla Evans up front. It’s great to have another County Final to look forward to and this super group of girls will give it their all again, of that there is no doubt. Time and Venue for Replay TBC.
