Midleton's Fe 9 hurlers travelled to Caherlag on Saturday 25th August with a very strong panel. 22 players travelled and so the panel was divided up to make two teams on 11 players. Both teams came up against two very good Erins Own teams. The games concentrated on first touch hurling, after lifting the ball a player is allowed one more bounce of the ball on the hurley then he must strike the ball, no solo running is allowed. This makes for a fast and furious hour of hurling. The Midleton hurlers acquitted themselves very well over their two games and probably came out on top in the games.
