This was a tight match. Midleton got off to a great start; going into a lead of 1-1 very quickly. The first half was a veryclose affair. After the Magpies good start and with the wind at their backs, Aghada insured we were all square at the break.
The second half saw Midleton get another good start putting up a few nice scores, taking advantage of the wind and going ahead by 5 points. but to give cretit to a good Aghada team they stuck to their task and battled hard. Midleton however proved too strong in the closing stages of this fine contest and won on a scoreline of 4-09 to 3-06.
The Match referee was Michael Shannahan who had a fine game.
We now advance to the Semi final which is fixed for next weekend. The winners of Watergrasshill and Fr O'Neills will be the team to beat. Please come and support your team. Match venue to be confirmed.
