U-12 Hurlers took part in the Annual Willie Ryan tournament hosted and run by Aghada in Rostellan on Sat July 24th.
In the group stages we were pitted against Killeagh - Sarsfields and Carrigtwohill. Having lost the opening game to Killeagh the lads bounced back well to defeat both Sars and Carrig to come second in the group stages and set up a Semi-Final against the host club. Everyone played well in the Semis and we won well to set up a final game against Killeagh again who had come the other semi final having topped our group. In the final itself the few goal scoring chances we created went narrowly wide or were somehow blocked by the Killeagh defence and Killeagh ended up deserving winners of this long running tournament.
