Midleton Hurling & Football, Ladies Football & Camogie Club NEWS

11 February, 2018

Post Primary School Hurling
All roads lead to Mallow next Saturday when the Midleton CBS senior hurlers take on Limerick’s Ard Scoil Rís in the Munster Colleges Dr Harty Cup final @ 1.30pm.
Following on from their great win over last years champions Templemore in the semi final CBS will be hoping to emulate the historic first success of 1988, 1995 and the last victory for any Cork school in 2006.
The Club wishes manager Aylwin Kearney and our club players on the panel the very best of luck against a team which interestingly will feature Jerome Boylan of Na Piarsaigh whose father Dave was a great Midleton player back in the 80’s as were his uncles John and Mick.

Fixtures
Friday 16th February Junior 2 Football League v Cobh away @ 8pm
Sunday 25th February Senior Hurling League v Erins Own away @ 12
Sunday 4th March Senior Hurling League v Newtownshandrum at home @ 12

Allianze Hurling League
On Sunday next the 18th the Cork senior hurlers will take on Clare in Cusack Park Ennis in Round 3 of the League @ 2pm. Clare are after two wins over Tipperary and Kilkenny and prove formidable opposition to a Cork team who hope to bounce back from the defeat last week to Wexford.

Ladies Football (Peil na mBan)
All teams from U8 to Junior are now back training. The U8 girls are in the Community Centre from 6-7pm while all other age groups are at the Midleton Hockey Pitch from 7-8pm. If the weather goes against us a text message will be sent if training is to be cancelled.
Keep an eye on our Facebook page for all news within our Club. Hard luck to Orlagh Farmer and the Cork Ladies Football Team who were narrowly defeated by Dublin in Round 3 of the NFL Division1 on a score line of  3-09(18) to 1-14(17)
