Midleton Hurling & Football Club News

Senior Hurling
Our hurlers got off to a great start to the RedFM League with a fine victory over Blackrock at home on Sunday last. The exchanges were tough and early on due to a strong breeze scores were hard to come by. The score at halftime was Midleton 1.10 v  Blackrock 0.03. They added two points at the start of the second half but the expected comeback didn’t occur mainly due to our very good defence and sharp forwards.
Final Score Midleton 2-17 v Blackrock 0.08.
Team: Tommy Wallace, Cillian Hurley, Peter Dowling (capt.), Alywin Kearney, Finbar O’Mahony, Aidan Ryan, Padraig O’Shea, Paul Haughney, Patrick O’Mahony, Killian Burke, Seamus O’Farrell, James Nagle, Cormac Walsh, Brian Hartnett & Patrick White. Subs used Padraic Nagle, Padraig O’Keeffe, Darren Quirke, Eoin Walsh & Joe Loftus.

Over the coming weeks the Steering Committee hope to have a complete review and refinement by March 23rd, then present it to the Executive (all Clubs), it will then be submitted to the Publishers, we would hope to receive the Plan back by April 10th and finally to have the Official Launch of Plan (all invited) by mid April. Midleton Hurling & Football, Juvenile , Ladies Football and Camogie Clubs would sincerely like to thank all the people who contributed to these very successful Workshops. We very much appreciated your input in to our new Development Plan. We know that you have a number of demands on your time right now so the fact that you took as much time as you did to guide us and contribute is even more welcome and appreciated.
