Midleton Girls Gaelic Football Victory Party.

Sunday evening last, December 11th, Midleton’s GAA Pavilion hosted a party to recognize the incredibly successful year that 2011 was for the club. Michael Barrett – club secretary - was the MC for the night. He opened proceedings by outlining the success that the underage have had during the year: Under 8s  East Cork , Under 10s East Cork Champions, Under 12s East Cork Runners Up, U14s East Cork Champions, U16 East Cork league and Championship winners. Orla Farmer who has represented our club with such distinction was on hand to present the many medals to the girls. This was followed by a serving of hot food and the evening concluded with a disco. Recognition was also given to the numerous selectors and trainers of the different teams. A great night was had by all.
There’s always a big welcome for more parents and players who want to get involved. Remember the club stretches out to include the Dungourney area.
The challenge now is to build upon this success over the coming years. Finally the club wants to wish all its members a happy and peaceful Christmas and here’s to even more success in 2012.
Photographs of the party will be posted at .
