Junior A Hurling League
Midleton 1-15 Dungourney 1-13
Midleton had a hard fought two point win over Dungourney in our third game in the Cavanaghs of Fermoy sponsored Imokilly / Avondhu junior Hurling League Section 2. This game was played on Sunday last in Dungourney. The win gives us two wins and a loss from our three games.

Junior Hurling League Division 2
Midleton 4-08 Killeagh 5-16
Midletons third team went down to a strong Killeagh team in their League encounter at Midleton on Wednesday of last week. Over the hour our opponents were by far the stronger team and we can have no complaints with the result

Fe 13’s
Our under 13 panels continued their league programs in both the Central and Eastern Region over the Easter Mid Term and played Football games v Nemo Rangers, Eire Og and Sam Maguires while we met Grenagh in hurling.

Central Football v Eire Og
We made the trip to Ovens on April 21 where we played a good home side and despite hitting the net 6 times during the hour we still ended losing by 2 pts due mainly to our lack of accuracy in going for the minor score. We had some excellent displays on the night from a number of players who started in new positions for the first time. Our Panel on the night was: Jordan Roche (Capt) Liam Franklin, Padraig O'Brien, Conor Evans, Sean O'Meara, Kevin Mulcahy, Ryan O'Reagan, Conor Tynan, Kevin Daly, Adam Daly, Ross O'Connor, Christian Daly, Shane O'Brien, Temitayo Abdullah, Andrew McMahon, Ryan McConville & David Mulcahy.

Eastern Hurling v Grenagh
We travelled to the Mid-Cork venue on Sat April 23rd and having travelled with just 13 we played a 13 aside game v Grenagh and despite the very warm weather and the big field with small numbers and no subs the boys put in a great hours hurling to come away with the 2pts for the win. The team on the day was : Dylan Cahalane (capt), Christopher Shanahan, David Mulcahy, Ronan O'Donovan, Shane O'Brien, Christian Daly, Conor Evans, Sean O'Meara, Kevin Daly, Christopher Power, Adam Daly, Temitayo Abdullah and Ryan McConville.

Eastern Football v Nemo
We travelled to Trabeg on Easter Monday morning for a game against Nemo where both sides had the bare 13 to play so we again played the smaller number game on the big field and the boys most of whom had been involved in the same situation on the previous Saturday played some fantastic football which was applauded and complimented on by the home club to win a good game and secure our first win of the football league. The football played showed just how good these lads could be in time with more football exposure. Our Team was : Shane O'Brien (Capt), David Mulcahy, Ryan O'Reagan, Kelvin Hickey, Dylan Cahalane, Alan Swarbrick, Temitayo Abdullah, Sean O'Meara, Kevin Daly, Christian Daly, Eoin Moloney, John O'Dwyer and Ryan McConville,

Central Football v Sam Maguires
On Wed night Apr 27 we made the long trip to Dunmanway to play the home side in the league. Again we came up against a club whose first game is with the bigger ball and their game know how showed through in a tough second half when they pulled away to win a great of football by 3 pts. Again we had our chances to win this game but luck and football "know-how" came against us in the latter stages of the game. We have yet to have our full panel together for any of our league games and once we do get everyone together we should be a match for most teams in our group. Our Panel on the night was: David Mulcahy (capt), Dylan Cahalane, Temitayo Abdullah, Conor Evans, Ryan O'Regan, Kevin Mulcahy, Conor Tynan, Adam Daly, Kevin Daly, John O'Dwyer, Christian Daly, Alan Swarbrick, Shane O'Brien, Ryan McConville, Eoin Moloney, Christopher Shanahan, Cormac Higgins and Conor O'Farrell.

Upcoming games:
Fri May 6th Football League home v Valley Rovers 7pm
Sun May 8th Football Championship away v Canovee at 10.30am
Again as we rotate the squad between each game to ensure all boys get good playing time we will send texts to the boys required for each game and would ask that all reply ASAP if they cannot make a game so we can fill the slot on panel and put your name down for another game instead.
Fe 9’s
On Saturday the 30th of April we welcomed the Rockies to Midleton for the first meeting between these two sides. The games were played on the fantastic grounds of Midleton CBS on what turned out to be a beautiful morning. The Rockies arrived with 26 players and we had the same so we made three pitches and formed three even teams of two 9's and an 8.This format worked a treat as all games turned out very even, all Midleton teams played each Blackrock team for 15mins each. Thanks to Blackrock for a very enjoyable and entertaining mornings hurling, also to the parents for the support. Upcoming game Thursday 5th May V Bishiopstown in Bishiopstown at 6.45pm
