Mercy Hospital fun walk
30 September, 2012
What a great show of support we saw on Saturday 29th or September. The Mercy Hospital fun walk which is supported by Rebel Óg took place in Midleton along with other GAA clubs in Cork.
While the option to hold the walk in aid of both the Hospital and the club was available, Midleton decided to donate all funds to the hospital appeal.
Over 100 children, parents, dogs and buggies turned out on the lovely day in a great cause and walked a route around Midleton.
back at the club the weary walkers were treated to some refreshments and the parents got the chance for a chat with each other and club officials.
Each child who raised €10 will get a Rebel Óg watch while those who raised €50 or more will go into a draw to meet the DJ’s in Red FM studios.
Many thanks to all who helped out on the day for this very worthy cause.
