Fé 9 v Blackrock
Our lads Hosted Blackrock in Hurling on Saturday. Both teams had 30 players so we went with 3 Teams of 10 each in each of the games. All games were very equally contested in this and there was some great scores in each of the games. Our lads were very impressive with both their defending and getting great scores on the day. We are very pleased with this group and with the effort they are putting in week by week in matches and we would like to encourage the lads to keep the practice going.
Once again, we would like to thank the parents of this group for their great commitment, and we would also like to thank the Rockies for making the trip to Midleton.
Training will continue for this group on Wednesday.
Fé 11 v Inniscarra
This weekend saw the fé11 Magpies travel to Inniscarra. Some great hurling was on display again with the boys putting into practice everything they are learning at training.
Great job again boys.

Davy Hogan Street Leagues
Saturday saw the final round game and the final of the Davy Hogan Street Leagues. This year’s competition has been a great success and our Fé10 & Fé11 players will gain enormously from the experience. Based on the results of the games in rounds 1 to 5 the final was contested by Forkums and Owenacurra. The final was a competitive affair with Forkums eventually prevailing.
Congratulations to Forkums and well done to all the other teams. Great credit is due to the competition organisers, team coaches, referees, the piper Olan McCarthy and to Andrew Foley for taking so many professional photographs and making them available on https://www.flickr.com/photos/140256824@N08/sets/72157719816067726/

Fé13 Challenge Match V Killeagh Sunday 5th September 2021
They say goals win matches and they certainly did on Sunday 5th September with Sarah McConville hitting the top of the net early in the first quarter. Hannah O'Brien found the net twice in the 2nd half with two spectacular goals. Some great free taking and points from play by Faye Dunlea helped Midleton further their lead. In the final minutes Emma Keeshan scored a great point from a well worked move up the pitch by Robyn Keating. Midleton' defence - Rebecca Ryan, Emma Fitzgerald, Mia Walsh and Cara Pyne were rock solid again this week. A great team performance throughout the pitch. A big Well Done to all the girls and a special mention to our Captain Nicole Quirke lee .

Fe14A V Glen Rovers Championship Camogie Round 3
In terrible conditions on Wednesday night we took on Glen Rovers camogie away in the final group game of the championship needing a win to secure a semi-final place in the cup. Straight from the first puck of the ball Glen Rovers started strongly and raced into an early lead grabbing a goal and a couple of points only for Mia Collins to rattle the net and bring it back to a single point game. Glen Rovers then took control for the rest of half and went in at the break with a hefty lead.
During the halftime break our girls regrouped and went back out and although our display went up another level Glen Rovers were equally putting in a great performance themselves and were soon eight points up, In the last quarter Kate O' Sullivan, Faye Dunlea and Cara Foley all chipped in with great scores to get us to within a point. Then in the last minute of normal time Kate O' Sullivan went on a great run and broke through the defence to knock over the equalising point. Deep into injury time Faye Dunlea stood over a free on the 45m line and with nerves of steel calmly slotted the ball between the post's to seal a memorable win and send us through. It was a tough night and every girl dug deep and did the Midleton jersey proud. Many thanks to all who stood in the rain and supported both teams as always we greatly appreciate it.
Final score
Midleton 3-11 (20pnts)
Glen Rovers 4-7 (19pnts)
