Our Fe-14 footballers began their 2010 league campaign with a trip to Mallow on Saturday last Feb 11th. This year we are plying our trade in the Premier 1 grade having been graded up following the Premier 2 championship win in 2011. The boys took well to the higher standard from the throw in but despite dominating possession found scores hard to come by however they did keep their habit of scoring goals going into the lead by 3-1 to 1-4 at halftime. Turning to face the slight hill in the second half we allowed the home side to score some easy goals including a soft penalty given by an over fussy referee but we regrouped to hit some good scores and earn a good victory on a final score line of 5-9 to 4-7 and get our campaign off to a strong start.
