01 January, 2018

Long Puck (Puc Fada)
On St Stephens morning last despite the inclement weather conditions a fine crowd turned out for our annual Sean Keohane Memorial Long Puck competition.
Butler’s buses left the Club just after 9.30am and travelled to Lisgoold, the Juveniles along with their coaches and parents began at the usual half way location and the adults started from the village. After almost two hours of ball striking covering the 6km route to the finish line at the East Cork Oil depot Broomfield the team of Michael Abernethy, Billy O’Shea and Garan Manley finished winners on 67 shots.
After the soup and rolls were consumed Chairman Liam Ryan and Juvenile Chairman Cormac Quirke thanked all the participants and the Keohane family for attending this event in honour of the late Sean.
Sean’s wife Mary and brother Ciaren presented the winning team with their trophy’s and the Memorial Plaque.
Thanks to everyone who helped to organise this event and to those who assisted on the day.

Lip Sync Fundraiser
Midleton GAA, Ladies Football and Camogie clubs are coming together with Midleton Rugby Club for a joint Fundraiser in 2018. The Radisson Hotel will be the place to be on March 18th. How does it work?
We need 30-35 people, we are looking for club members, parents of club members, friends, and local business people from the surrounding areas and we need both men and women! Acts will be trained by a professional choreographer in the weeks preceding the event and so will be fully prepared to perform on the night of the Live Show.
We need to have our act volunteers in place by mid January so if you are interested in volunteering we need to hear from you ASAP. Please contact Tracy on 087-6625544 or email midletonladiesfootballpro@gmail.com
