Midleton Hurling & Football, Ladies Football & Camogie News

Inter County Hurling
Paul Haughney, Conor Lehane, Luke O’Farrell and Killian Burke have all been selected on the Cork 30 man panel for the coming League campaign. Their first outing is on the 14th of February against Galway away.   

Senior Hurling 
Our Senior Hurling management have confirmed the following League games;
February 17th away to Na Piarsaigh @ 7.30pm
February 27th away to Newtownshandrum @ 7.30pm
March 6th home to Douglas @ 1pm
March 13th away to Erins Own @ 2.30pm
March 17th away to Youghal @ 12 noon  



Selection Committee’s
At the recent Club meeting the following Selection committees were ratified;   
Senior Hurling: Jerry Wallace, Oliver O’Keeffe, Liam Ryan, Michael Walsh, Cristoir O Cathasaigh and Paul Britton.
Intermediate Hurling: Kevin Hennessy, Ger Fitzgerald, Niall O’Neill and Paddy Dunlea.
Junior Hurling: Pat Fox, Paul Griffin, Patrick Dunlea, Oisin Cotter and Jack Cotter.
U21 Hurling: Aidan Ryan, James Nagle and reps from Senior, Intermediate & U21.
Minor: John Mulcahy, Martin Mc Conville, Peter Smyth, Martin Mc Sweeney, John Ferriter, Seamus O’Farrell (Football) and Cristoir O Cathasaigh (Football).    
 
Membership
Our Membership Rates for 2016 are as follows;   
Adult: Waged , Player (Gym inclusive)          €150
Adult: Student, Player (Gym inclusive           €100 
Adult: Unemployed, Player (Gym inclusive)  €100  
Adult: Waged, Non Player + Gym                  €150
Adult: Waged, Non Player (Without Gym )     €80  
Adult: OAP > 66yrs.                                        €30     
Please contact our membership Officer Terence Mc McCarthy to arrange payment. 

Camogie
Training will commence in the middle of February, a text will be sent to all confirming the date ahead of time.  Anyone who was not able to make it to our Registration recently can register on the first night of training. Any queries please contact Sheila on 087 6822916.

Ladies Football 
Our Junior Ladies will return to training on Monday February 1st. A time is to be confirmed so keep an eye on your Viber messages for details. Meanwhile the U12 to U16 girls are training from 7-8pm at Midleton Hockey Pitch and the U8's are in the Community Centre from 6-7pm.

Coffee Morning
On Saturday the 6th of February Mary Quinn will host a Coffee morning in aid of Marymount Hospice in the Gaa Club from 10am to 12. There will be a raffle held on the morning and everybody is welcome to support this great cause.
  
Lotto
Our Lotto Jackpot was €3,200, there was no winner, the numbers were 1,10,18 & 19 the lucky dip winners were Angela O’Keeffe, William Wallace, Phillip Walsh, Pauline Fitzgerald and Joe Lehane, next week’s Jackpot will be €3,400.  
Tickets are on sale at the Club Bar, O ‘Neills Bar, Linehan’s Bar, Maple Leaf Bar, O’ Farrell’s Butchers, Frank Murphy Butchers, Pat Walsh Paints, Chadwicks, Teach Beag & Niall Mac’s Bars.

BINGO takes place each Friday evening at 8pm in the GAA Pavilion with a weekly guaranteed Jackpot of €1,000. 

Club Shop
The shop is now open each Saturday morning from 11 to 12 in the Club

Juvenile Indoor Training 
Our Indoor training resumed last Saturday in the Community Centre and will continue at the same times over the coming months.
