Midleton GAA , Camogie & Ladies Football Club News

Senior Hurling
Our hurlers will face Newtownshandrum in the RedFM County League semi final on Thursday next in Mallow at 7.45pm with the winners playing either Erins Own or Blackrock.

Junior Hurling
In the next week or so we will have a date for our County Junior Hurling League final v Mayfield.   

Inter County Hurling 
Congrats and best wishes to Pat Hartnett who is a Cork Senior Hurling selector for the coming year along with Kieran Kingston, Pat Ryan and Diarmaid O’Sullivan. 
We wish them all well in the first round game v Tipperary. 

Cork Clubs Draw

Healthy Club
Well done to Pearse Mc Carthy who was one of the guest speakers last Saturday at the Cork Health & Wellbeing forum which was hosted by St Finbarr’s. Pearse along with Janas Harrington of the Barrs spoke of both clubs experiences. The main guest speaker for the forum was former Armagh footballer Oisin Mc Conville.  

Ladies Football 
Our Ladies Football Club is holding a Fancy Dress Fun Bingo Night on Monday October 26th at 7pm in the Gaa Club. There will be plenty of prizes on offer on the night including prizes for the best costumes. Books will be available to buy at the door on the night. All are welcome to attend.  Bring the Family along for what will be a great night. 
Well done to our Minors who defeated Na Piarsaigh in the Minor East Cork League on Sunday Morning at St Coleman’s Pitch.
Winter Training continues for all teams. U8’s are in the Community Centre at 6pm. U10’s upwards are in Midleton College Hockey Pitch at 7pm.

Camogie
The following is our winter training Schedule;
Fé 6:  Ball Alley, Midleton GAA club, Friday evenings 7.15pm.
Fé 8: Midleton Community Centre, Friday evenings 7pm
Fé 10 & Fé 12 & Fé 14: Midleton College All weather pitch, Tuesday evenings 6pm.

Lotto
Our Lotto Jackpot was €6,000, we had no winner, the numbers were 11,12,13 & 27, next week’s Jackpot will be €6,200, the Lucky dip winners were Mick Crotty, Paul Britton, Mary Keohane, Decie Crowley & Olivia Roche.     
The Lotto draw takes place each Friday in the Club. Tickets are on sale at the Club Bar, O ‘Neills Bar, Linehans Bar, Maple Leaf Bar, O’ Farrells Butchers, Frank Murphy Butchers, Pat Walsh Paints, Chadwicks, Teach Beag & Niall Mac’s Bars.

BINGO on Friday night next in the GAA Pavilion will be held in support of the local “My Place” Youth and Community facility. All support would be appreciated.
The evening begins at 8pm with a guaranteed Jackpot of €1,000.

Juvenile 

Fe10
Our Fe10s played Erins Own in Caherlag last Saturday. 
The lads played three very good games and really enjoyed their mornings work. 
We now take a break for a few weeks and will see the lads again in mid-November.
Well done to all on your great efforts.

Fe16
We had a very well deserved win on Sunday last at home against Sars in the Premier 1 Hurling League semi final by 0-22 to 3-10.
Team: Ryan O’ Riordan, Conor O’Farrell, Christopher Power, John Dwyer, Cian Murray, Eoin Moloney, Eoin Mitchell, Tommy O’Connell, Luke Smith, Harry Wall, Sean O’Leary Hayes, Cathal Gunning, Ross O’ Regan, Tom Scanlon & Kevin Finn.

Post Primary Hurling
Well done to our club players who were involved in CBC’s recent historic victory in the Harty Cup over Clonmel CBS, Tommy O’Connell, Eoin Maloney & Shane Finn were all members of the team.
Best of luck to the Midleton CBS hurling team who face Ard Scoil Ris this Wednesday in the Fe16 ½ Dean Ryan Cup semi final in Cashel @ 1.30pm.       
  
Indoor Training 
Indoor Training will commence on November 7th from 10am to 1pm in the Community Centre (Gaelscoil) for Junior, Senior Infants & First Class groups.
Please bring a helmet and shinguards, hurleys will be provided on the day.

Club Shop
Please note that the Club Shop will be closed next Saturday 24th October. 
It will re-open on Saturday 31st October from 10.30 am to 12 with a Sale on selected items while stock last, if you want to pick up some early Xmas presses please call up.
