The club would also like to wish referee Cathal Mc Allister and his team of officials the very best as he oversees the Minor decider between Waterford and Galway.

Fe 11
Sat 31st of August was a first for the Fe11s as we had two groups at different venues. One Team of 15 in Wexford for a blitz and the other team of 24 player’s in action against Erins Own on the excellent Midleton CBS pitch. Thanks must go to Sean Hurley for looking after the pitch during the summer ensuring the grass is cut regularly enabling our training session’s and matches to continue all year round for all groups. Two games of 11 aside with player’s rotating on and off every few minutes. Again there were some great performances and some great scores from both sides. Game A in particular Christopher Leahy, Jack Mc Kay, Evan Mc Carty and Darragh Mc Carty really stepping up to the mark for the magpies, Battling really hard was the order of the day in this game and in the end the sides shared the spoils on one game a piece. Game B again was played in great spirits and as in most underage games the team who take their chances when they come there way end up winning, At 11 it’s not about winning it’s all about trying to get the lad’s to compete and this they are really starting to do with the likes of Nicky Hayes, David Connolly, Gavin Reddy and Trevor Shine, giving it their all but in the end it was Erins Own who came out on top winning the two games.
On to St Martin’s in Wexford, we left the Gaa club at 9am. First of all we’d like to say thanks to the parent’s, Gavin Power and Mickey(BONZO)Tobin for helping out on the day with bus, water, entertainment etc. Group A teams St Martin’s, Dicksboro, Ballyboden St Endas and Midleton. First up were the hosts St Martin’s this was a tough game for our lads with scores hard to come by but we got the better of them winning comfortably in the end 4-6 to 1-2, Game 2 our best game v Dicksboro Kilkenny. We started this game in great fashion working hard in the backs and even harder in the forward’s. Some great scores were seen from our lad’s with Kane Rollands getting a real gem 40yds out on the run splitting the posts. In the end we ran out winners by 4-6 to 1-2. Next up break in the Clubhouse and we have to say a huge thank you to St Martin’s for their hospitality. Game 3, Ballyboden St Endas,  as results stood we had already qualified for the final thus allowing the coach’s time to sit back and watch. We played these lads three weeks ago and performed very well one felt a story could be told after this game (Take nothing for granted) Ball in and away we go,  oh shock this is a different team we played they weren’t going to get another mauling no way and fair play to them. In the end we had to rely on some great frees from Alex Quirke to draw this one up. Game 4 Final game Kilmacud Crokes. This game was played at a ferocious pace for u11s and all the skills of the game were on show blocking, hooking free taking and some great goalkeeping from Darragh Crowley. We went in at half time 4pts down but these lad’s never give up and to their credit against a very strong Kilmacud team they fought back into this game with Paul Connaughton getting two great goals but at the end of this game it was Crokes won by the narrowest of margins on score line of 3-5 to 2-7. Well done to all 39 lad’s and parent’s for supporting on the day, thanks’ again to St Martin’s for their hospitality.

On Saturday 7th September our Fe11 & Fe12 hurlers play the finals of the GO GAMES hurling in Mallow, the Fe11s play Douglas in three games and the Fe12s play Glen Rovers in two. Best of luck to all involved.
