Happy New Year
Midleton GAA would like to wish all its Members, supporters and their families a healthy and prosperous 2012. Also a word of thanks to you all for your support throughout 2011.

Midleton Juvenile Medal presentation night
Midleton GAA club held its juvenile medal presentation night on Sunday 8th January.
We were fortunate to have Monsignor Gould (Club President), Jim Forbes (Chairman Central Juvenile Board) and Niall O’Neill (Club Chairman) as its guests for the night.
Medals were presented to the Fe 13 team who were winners of the Eastern Region B Hurling Championship and league. They were also winners of the Central Premier 2 Football Championship.
The Fe 14 team were presented with a photo from the 2011 Feile competition where Midleton players were joined by the New York players we hosted.
Next the players who represented their club with Cork received medals. These included: Fe14 -Seanaidh Smith and Cormac Beausang. Fe15 - Gavin Bagnel. Fe16 – Padraig Nagle, Conán Finnegan, Michael Abernethy and Daren Quirke.
The final player awards were for the Players – Player of the Year. The recipients were: Fe12 – Sean O’Leary Hayes. Fe13 – Kevin Mulcahy. Fe14 - Cormac Beausang. Fe15 – Colin Shanahan. Fe16 – Padraig Nagle.
The evening was completed with a presentation from the Fe16 team to their manager Coleman Quirke. Coleman, who has managed the team since they began at Junior Infant level will cease training the team as they go to Minor. Coleman also stands down as Juvenile Committee Chairman this year. We will hold a sale of Club Gear on the first saturday of each month for Juvenile teams. this will start in the Community Centre and then will take place in the Club along with the Coffee Mornings.
