New York and Baltinglass come a visiting

27 June, 2011

FEILE PEIL – As I’m sure you are aware by now, Cork was awarded the hosting of Feile Peil na nOg this year which takes place over three days Thursday 30th June, Friday 1st July & Saturday 2nd July.
It has been 25 years since Cork last hosted All Ireland Football Feile and this is a fantastic once in a lifetime opportunity for us all.
We have been selected by the Feile committee to host the New York team and look forward to welcoming them to our town and country.
Part of the Feile charter is the hosting of the visiting teams for the duration of the competition in our own homes. To the family’s that have volunteered to host our visitors, we sincerely thank you very much and appreciate your generosity.
The action begins on Thursday.  We are competing in Division 2 along with Fr ONeills, Erins Own, New York and Crossmaglen, all of these games will take place at Fr O Neills grounds in Ahavine. See our club website for all the times.
Our U14 panel of players and selectors have prepared very well and we wish them and our visitors New York the very best of luck in all the games and hope everybody involved has a most enjoyable and memorable experience throughout the week both on and off the field.

See picture below of the New York boys team who will be joining us this week.
