COVID Update & Return to Play

It was great for adult teams to be back this week. The ‘buzz’ around the club was fantastic.

Team managers will advise of date, time and venue for training. Please remember that players/parents are required to complete a Health Questionnaire declaration BEFORE each training session or match.

Midleton GAA ‘One Club’ have put together a comprehensive guide to the Safe Return to Play for all teams. All parents, players and coaches are asked to familiarise themselves with these guidelines including, but not limited to, the Health Questionnaire requirements and access maps to the 4 facilities being used by Midelton GAA ‘One Club’.

Adult & Juvenile GAA Fixtures

Under the current guidelines matches will re-commence from 7th June. The fixture calendar is currently being finalised by the Cork County Board, the East Cork Board and Rebel Og (Juvenile). This calendar will include completion of 2020 Junior Football and Hurling Championships as well as 2021 competitions. As soon as these calendars are completed, we will publish, and team managers will also advise players and parents/guardians. Click here for the current draft fixture listing.

In case you missed the draws for the pool stages of the Senior & Intermediate Hurling Championships.

Additionally, the League Cup competitions will replace the Club Leagues for 2021, with football and hurling played on alternate weekends from June 7th and June 13th, respectively. League Cup competition grades will be based mainly on two groups of four. with the top two in each group qualifying for the semi-final stage. Some modification is required at the bottom grade in each code in order to facilitate the existing number of teams. These competitions will have no impact on league grading for 2022, which will instead revert to 2020 positions. Groups for the league cups were based on previous league positions, with modifications added to avoid clubs meeting in both league and championship.

Senior Team Group (1B): St. Finbarrs, Bride Rovers, Bishopstown, Midleton

Intermediate Team Group (7A): Midleton, Ballygarvan, Russell Rovers, Grenagh
