Intermediate Hurling
Our hurlers were undone by a very slick Glen Rovers outfit last Saturday evening in the first round of the Hurling Championship at Carrigtwohill. Lining out without a number of players due to exams and travel we couldn’t handle the quick movement of the Glen in the first half, they led by 0-17 to 1-03 at the break. To our lads credit they continued trying to the very end and were rewarded with some late scores. Final score: Midleton 4-11 v Glen Rovers 1-26
Team: Joe Loftus, Adam Daly, Gavin Bagnell, Elliot Mulcahy, Billy O’Shea, Cillian Hurley (0-02), Luke Dineen, Sean O’Farrell, Shane Ryan, Conor O’Neill (0-04), Leslie Coughlan, Padraig O’Keeffe (2-02), Mark O’Keeffe (0-01), Micheal Keohane (0-01) & Brian O’Sullivan (1-00). Subs used Alan Stanton, Michael Abernethy (1-01) & Ryan Mc Conville.

Fé 12’s
We travelled to Kildorerry last Friday evening for the 3rd round of the League. It was a lovely night for a match for both players & spectators. The girls started off slow but gained momentum as the first half progressed. There was some great skill and teamwork on display which led to us finishing ahead at the end of the first half. The girls held onto their lead throughout the second half and took every opportunity to add to it. Kildorerry made some great attempts at scoring in the closing minutes but our defence was solid and no goals were conceded. This was a well deserved win for us. Every one of the 17 girls involved gave their all and did their team and club proud. Well done girls!!

Best of luck to all our members who start their exams this week.

Fe 10
On Saturday last we travelled the short distance to Aghada for a challenge match.  Aghada could have been mistaken for sunny Spain as the weather was glorious without a cloud in the sky.  The lads were split into three seperate groups and all enjoyed two matches.  The coaches were well prepared for the fine weather and had plenty of iced water on hand to cool down the lads.  As always, these group of players gave it their all and it was a very evenly matched affair between both sides.  We thank Aghada for the invitation.

Fe 14
Well done to our hurlers who have qualified for the Premier 1 Challenge Cup final as they had a great win over St. Colmans on Wednesday evening on a score-line of Midleton 4-10 St. Colmans 1-7. Well done lads.
