Camogie
U13B Imokilly plate semi-final Midleton v Dungourney
This game was played in Midleton on Tuesday evening. We came out strong in the first half and fought for every ball with only a goal between the two sides at half time.
In the second half the girls kept the work rate up and there was very little between the two sides on the pitch. We were unlucky not to get the scores with a few very close wides, Dungourney took their chances and came out winners in the end.
This was the last match in a very competitive Imokilly League where the girls displayed some great skill and teamwork. Well done to all involved, players and coaches and for all the hard work put into training and matches throughout the league.
Team: Ella Murphy, Abby Purcell, Licia Maguire, Konyinsola Afolabi, Ali Smith, Leah Hogan, Abbie Foley, Ella Murphy, Aisling Kelleher, Lily O'Connor, Holly Duggan, Aoife Lomasney, Hannah Wall, Chloe Garde, Theresa Geary.

U12 League Quarter Final v St.Fanahan's
After topping their group on points we took to the pitch in Midleton GAA Club on Friday night to play the league quarter final against St.Fanahan's. This was a great achievement for the girls in their first year in competition. Our girls gave everything throughout the match and showed great heart and determination. St.Fanahan's experience showed and they took their scores when they could. We had some great defending and saves from our goalkeeper but it was St.Fanahan's night and they now go forward to play in the league semi-final.
This brings a close to the league for 2015. This is a young team and considering this is their first year in competition they have done themselves, coaches, families & club proud. The experience they have gained this year will no doubt stand to them and they will come out stronger & even more determined next year.
Team: Aoife Lomasney,  Chloe Garde, Ella Murphy, Theresa Geary, Jill Connuaghton, Hannah Wall, Leah Hogan, Holly Duggan, Abbie Foley, Lily O'Connor, Ella Murphy, Ellie O'Keefe, Aisling Kelleher, Rachel McSweeney, Caoimhe Murray, Elise Halligon, Meabh Morrissey, Aoife McNerney, Emma Lynam, Eliyah Flaherty & Uanionn Finn.

In what was  busy week for camogie,  our under 6’s, 7’s and 8’s made the  short journey to Castlemartyr on Friday evening last , the two neighbouring clubs played  3 matches at each age group,  it was great practice and  experience for all our younger girls. Thanks to all who travelled and to our hosts Castlemartyr.

The ‘Come hurl with me’ programme continues again this Friday evening, with coach Donie Daly teaching  the basic skills of the game to parents of under 8 and 10s. The programme will conclude on Sept 5th with a blitz between all participating clubs, were the girls and their parent will get the opportunity to put into practice the skills they have developed over the six weeks.

Ladies Football
Our U8 girls took on Glanmire in the second round of their league on Monday night.  In all we had 21 girls turned up some of whom is only playing a few weeks with us. As Glanmire could not match our numbers we played 15 a side and had to roll on and off our subs. Our girls put on a great display against a strong Glanmire side who proved too strong for us on the night. Well done to our girls who kept trying until the final whistle. Next up is Rockban in Whitechurch.
Panel: Emma Keeshan, Chloe Carr, Kate Saunderson,Lara Geary, Katie Tarrent, Johanna Carr, Alannah Magan, Ciara Murphy, Sinead ORourke, Emma Fitzgerald, Ava Barry, Ciara Hynes, Molly Barrett, Gabrielle Smith, Una Murphy, Lucy Murphy, Julie Murphy, Sophie Kelleher, Sadhbh Cronin, Fay Dunlea & Amy Keeshan.

U10 V Rockbán
Our girls made the journey to Whitechurch last Wednesday evening to play Rockbán. We received a warm welcome and enjoyed the experience of playing at a top class facility. A glorious evening of sunshine set the backdrop for what proved to be a close and exciting game of football.
Jill Connaughton, Gráinne Finn, Ashling Mc Carthy and Kelly Quirke played key roles in this our fourth win of the league campaign. In the back line Sadhbh Hartnett, Rachel O'Meara and Ellen O'Neill kept cool under pressure and continued to be accurate with their kick passing into the full forwards and the points kept coming. Katie Smith, Isabelle Nestor and Amy Murray never gave up attacking. They
repeatedly pierced holes in the Rockbán defence. A great night of football, it is evident that all the hard work at training is paying off, with performances like this. Míle buíochas to all the parents who travelled and provided transport to the game.
Team: Jill Connaughton, Rachel O'Meara, Sadhbh Hartnett, Ellen O'Neill, Amy Murray, Ashling Mc Carthy, Gráinne Finn, Isabelle Nestor, Kelly Quirke & Katie Smith.

On Saturday afternoon last, we were in action at home when we welcomed Clonakilty and Lisgoold to Clonmult Memorial Park. Again 36 young magpies took to the field with great enthusiasm in what was a very entertaining hours hurling, with non stop action throughout the afternoon. Each week this very committed bunch give it their all on the field when they train or play matches, we as mentors are very proud of the lads. Thanks to Lisgoold and particularly Clonakilty who made the long journey up to play and hopefully we can return the favour early next year, by travelling down to them. Also thanks to all who made sandwiches/ cakes and served refreshments to the visiting team/mentors and their parents. This work is very much appreciated and the afternoon was a great success.
We will have another blitz this Saturday the 29th in Carrigtwohill, details to follow.
