After winning our group last Saturday week our Feile Hurlers qualified for the quarter final against Bishopstown which was played on Sunday at five in Togher. This turned out to be one of the games of the Feile with both sides putting on a great display of hurling. This game went to extra time with the Magpies winning on a scoreline of 1-10 to 2-3.Next up were the hosts the Barr's at 6  who won their quarter final. The win against Bishopstown in extra time took a lot out of our lad's but this did not take from a deserved victory for the Barr's who went on to win the final after.
Once again this group of players did the Club proud in the way they battled and hurled throughout the Feile.

Fe 15
Our hurlers had a well deserved victory over near rivals Sars in this eagerly awaited fixture played at Midleton on Saturday evening on a scoreline of Midleton 1-14 Sars 0-5. Midleton were dominant from the start and but for some poor finishing could have put a number of scores between the teams in the first 5 minutes. Midleton though began to find their range and scored a few good points before Sars got on the board with a pointed free. A goal from Midleton mid way through the half put us in control. This followed a speculative shot from out on the left wing that was fumbled by the Sars keeper. The Score at Half Time was Midleton 1-6; Sars 0-2.
Midleton continued to be dominant in the second half and Sars never really got into the game. The final score of 1-14 to 0-5 is a fair reflection of the game. Things just didn't click for Sars on the day.
Team: Ryan O Riordan, Mark Daly, Ciaran Evans, Alan Power, Cormac O Brien, Tommy O Connell, David Scanlan, Kian Farmer, Kevin Finn, Griffin Hurley, Evan Rowlands, Jake Shanahan, Adam O Connell, Cian Murray, Ross O Regan, Aaron Mulcahy, Fergus Wade, Ronan Lynch, Coleman Quinn, Craig Barry, Gary Carroll, Sam Quirke, Cian Crowley, Christian Murphy.
