Feile Peil 2011 details

Dear Parent,
We are delighted to announce that we have been selected to participate in the 2011 U14 All Ireland Feile Peil. The competition will be held in Cork on the Thurs 30th June, Friday 1st July and Sat 2nd July. It has been 25 years since Cork last hosted All Ireland Football Feile and this is a fantastic once in a lifetime opportunity for our boys. We are asking you the parents for full cooperation in our endeavours in making this a memorable occasion for your child and Midleton GAA Juvenile Club.
PROGRAMME
Thursday 30th: 12:00 Group match @ Ahavine – Fr O’ Neills
1:30 Group match @ Ahavine – Fr O’ Neills
2:30 Players will go to host family
5:00 Meet at GAA to travel to Feile Parade in City
6:00 Congregate near UCC for parade formation
7:30 Parade through city finishing in South Mall
9:00 Return to Midleton and Host Family
Friday 1st: We will return to Fr O’ Neills (Ahavine) where we’ll play 2 group matches @ 10, 11.30am & 1pm
Friday 1st: Semi Finals venue to be confirmed @ 7.30pm
Friday 1st: Social event involving both teams (to be confirmed)
Saturday 2nd: Finals venue to be confirmed
HOSTING
In our capacity as a host club we are required to host a travelling team consisting of 24 players and 3 mentors. We are asking each family to host 2 players. Each family will be asked to feed the players on Thursday evening before we leave for the parade. Friday and Saturday they will need breakfast and a packed lunch. The club will be responsible for feeding the team on the Friday evening. The players must have their own bed.
Each host family is required to have Garda Vetting this is applicable to all persons over the age of 16yrs residing in the home at the time of hosting. These forms must be completed and returned to us by 29th March.
